I connected it to the camera and the camera to the TV and I could watch and listen to the videos through the TV. You can also look at the pictures through the TV too.
I suppose the only "bad" thing about this product is that it fits very snuggly into the camera due to the camera's positioning of the plug, but it doesn't affect the camera, the cable, or your ability to use the cable, so no stars removed.
