(More customer reviews)I was glad to find a hood for such a cheap price, but I guess you get what you pay for. The lens hood does what it is supposed to do, which I was very pleased...BUT it was a pain to get the lens hood on the camcorder. It took me a good 20 minutes to get it on correctly. The ring did not tighten as it should and I had to try other methods of twisting in order to get it on properly. Once I got it on, I did not want to take it off because of how difficult it was the first time around. I was also afraid it was going to break while I was unscrewing it. I was glad the plastic held up, but who knows for how much longer.
If you are looking for a bargain, this is something that can work short-term. Otherwise, you may want to look at other types. The fact that these hoods are not expensive makes me not feel as bad, because they can be replaced with another one if you decide to stick with this brand.
